I read the editorial, and they did leave the door open for McMahon to get a pass.
The question that these people should be asked is if everything is perfect in Reading, then why do they have to rely on the taxpayer to fund all of these projects compared to the private sector?

I would settle for an answer to…
If everything is perfect in Reading, why won’t any of the city managers live here?
9 to 5 isn’t enough, you need to live here 24/7 or it is simply someone eles’ problem!
Don't worry about it says: February 23, 2008 at 3:36 pm
Hey Batman, city managers do not have to live in the city, I thought you were working the early shift at Burger King this AM?
that a fact... jack says: February 23, 2008 at 11:16 pm
You mean if they don’t live in the city, they don’t have to suffer the consequences!
I have a tape of the City Council meeting from June of 2006 where 13 city managers, one after another, got up and spoke out against the residency law, claiming it was PUNISHMENT to force them to live in the city.
With that type of attitude, it is no wonder why Reading is a complete shit hole.
Tom McMahon, the Mayor of Shit Hole Pennsylvania!

Happy Birthday Matt.
As to the residency law, this is the meeting reported upon in Stefan’s archives:
It was aired for two weeks on Comcast Reading Channel 99, the Municipal Access Channel. A copy of the program is still available from BCTV at $5 for VHS tape and $25 for DVD.
Not only did 13 pathetic losers who manage the city complain about being punished by the law requiring them to live here, this is the infamous meeting where protocol and the rules were thrown out the window, and Albert boscov was allowed to lobby the City Council right in the middle of the meeting… on television too! Stefan spoke very well on the issue that night, and the courts have ruled that Stefan’s argument is the law as interpreted through their authority.
McMahon and Churchill are just a couple of corporate executives who believe the law doesn’t apply to them… just like Fast Eddie Rendell in Harrisburg and George W. Bush in Washington D.C. That is what is wrong with America, corporate irresponsibility infecting ou Government.

I agree.
The problem isn’t Democrats or Republicans.
The problem isn’t liberals or conservatives.
Those are the EXCUSES used by politicians, their lackeys, and the truly ignorant who are too retarded to know any better!
No, the problem is a complete lack of responsibility on the part of leaders who have been conditioned through a lifelong process of not being held accountable for their actions in the business world.
The lawyers call it indemnification.
I call it un-American.

Why do the assholes who love McMahon and his criminal administration resort to perceived insults, such as working at Burger King?
Why should any resident obey any law when their elected leaders refuse to?
That is probably a significant factor in the city’s many problems, leaders who set bad examples then hypocritically lambaste the less well connected criminals in society as if they are the problem!
I love McMahon says: February 25, 2008 at 4:29 pm
Identity Supressed…..
Who did you have in mind to run this city? Stamm? Pullano? Eppienheimer? Or one of the other idiots running? Do you think any of the candidates were worth a damn. NNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!! I am not saying that agree with everything McMahon does but give me a damn break, he was the best out of the group we had running. Now lets work together and get this city back on track. I am so sick of all of the buttholes who do not want to do anything but bitch!!!!! GIVE IT UP!!!!!

I do far more then bitch… and any criminal is unacceptable, including McMahon.
Any other mayor would have been superior… and only a stupid retard would believe the mayor RUNS the city or it’s many operations.
We have a City Charter… a professional with many degrees and business experience RUNS the city… the mayor is a chearleader to affect the desired change.
Mcmahon is not the most superior in this regard, especially since Mcmahon has no regard for the will of the citizens, and does what Albert Boscov and the rest of the landed gentry desire, to increase their net worth without having to take risks in the free market.
I pity you for neither understanding the function of our city’s government and for lacking any sense of morality in supporting the criminal regime, still in defiance of the Commonwealth Court ruling concerning residency.
I love McMahon says: February 26, 2008 at 4:55 pm
Helllllllllooooooooooooooo Supressed !!!!!!!
I know that the Mayor does not run the city jerky!!! BBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT wait one minute…..
What he says goes,he appoints people, he basically hires his administration poindexter. I did not feel the other candidates were capable of doing that. Since you have so much faith in the charter then you will be very happy to see how it worked last night. The charter doesn’t mean shit!!!!! Council can over rule at anytime. You saw it last night. I am in favor of those douche bags living here!!! I think that Tom McMahon is a nut job for playing games with that dot head Adam Mukerji or whatever his fucking name is. ADAM NEEDS TO GO!!!! He is fucking this city up the ass! Just wait… a lot of shit is going to hit the fan in a few weeks, months, whatever, a lot of people are going down!!!!! Mark my words!!!!!!

Speaking of which, did you catch today’s propaganda piece from Don Spatz about the mayor’s budget numbers being off by more then $10 million from just last October?
Oh what a difference an election makes!
McMahon is so wonderful, we should forgive him for his lies about the city’s finances too…
