I though you might enjoy this Matt…
Stefan

I hope you’ll forward my message to the members. Because people like me have been passive, BPD [Berks Progressive Democrats] is now being led by someone [Stefan Kosikowski] who for years has spent more time attacking Democrats than building alliances.. He is using BPD as his fiefdom where only his views are tolerated. If BPD does not change course, Karl Rove wins and our beloved nation goes down the sewer.
Best regards,
Jim

That’s funny Stefan. Sounds like my beef with The Berks GOP. I don’t know if you heard, but some of the local Berks GOP flame throwers are now accusing me of hacking into The Berks GOP web site after it was discovered by John Morgan at the PA Progressive.
First off I did not do it and second they have to prove it. If The Berks GOP wants to prevent hacking they should start with moral and ethical hacking of themselves. All this pay to play business is turning our elected representatives into CORPORATE PROSTITUTES!
You have my permission to use that line in your campaign if you like Stefan LOL. Here is a good sample.

Sounds like a lotta hysteria to me.

I just may Matt.
My main themes will be the issues I highlighted on my campaign website, like the illegal alien invasion, crime, trash, etc., that have turned this once wonderful city into a war zone and a pig pen.
The Berks Democratic Party and I have been feuding for 5+ years now, which led to me spending 23 months in the Green Party (03-04). As much as I piss them off on a regular basis, they can’t afford to get rid of me because they know I will go back to the Green Party and help run candidates against them in the general election.
Politics is all about power, you have to be willing to use it. I admire you for having a huge set of brass balls too!
These party hacks are used to their rank and file kissing their asses and following orders. They simply don’t know how to handle competent mavericks.

I just read John Morgan’s piece about Mike Morrill getting into the 127th race. Boy like you have not seen that one coming from a mile away.
I’ll go on record right now and say Morrill does not stand a chance against Caltagirone. The only thing Morrill plans to do is play the traitor card.
Caltagirone can crush Morrill like a tin can in two seconds, and I can tell him how to do it. Caltagirone from his vantage point has to look at Morrill’s challenge as if he was facing off with Bill DeWeese. Caltagirone needs to open that war chest with radio ads, tv ads, internet advertising, etc., and expose what type of person Bill DeWeese really is, and how Caltagirone in no way could support a nut job like that. In the process Caltagirone can turn into the hero out of this, and the voters in the primary will get it.
Just look at how Morrill and the kooks on the Al Walentis blog were spinning it as you having a deal in all of it. If this last election proved anything is that people want ideas, not kookiness.
I had a nice chat the other night with one of John Morgan’s readers in The Berks Blog Network chat room and he was comparing Mike Morrill vs. Tom Caltagirone as the Democrat version of Specter vs. Toomey. I can tell you first hand as a loyal Toomey backer that it was no where close. Toomey almost defeated Specter, because he brought ideas to the table, and did not run his whole campaign on RINO traitor talk like Mike Morrill has been doing thus far.
I’d stay tuned Stefan regarding the problems of The Berks GOP. Let’s just say that John Morgan is damn close to being correct on his concerns. Jim Reitnour left a hint about it, and Keith Stamm left a hint about it in the eagle regarding the mayor’s race. It’s pretty hard hitting.

Matt,
I have known Mike Morrill since 2002, when he was the Green Party candidate for PA Governor. I supported him because I do not like Rendell.
Morrill just recently switched back to Democrat, was appointed as a committeeman in December, and now is running against Tom Caltagirone in 2008. Mike’s history has been one of opportunism, so I am not the least bit surprised.
I agree with you too, Mike Morrill will not do well in the City of Reading. His ultra-liberal message will turn off most Democrats in the city, who tend to be the most conservative of all Berks County Democrats.
It is also important to realize where all this flak against Caltagirone is coming from within the Democratic Party… from OUTSIDE the district. That rally Morrill organized against Caltagirone only had one Democrat from the 127th district in attendance. It was Mike Morrill.
Also, the Democratic City Committee just met this morning, and Tom Caltagirone always attends. He explained the whole deal, how he refused to support the corrupt DeWeese for Speaker. He will end up being a hero after all the dust settles and those who tried to take advantage of this whole saga will look like fools!

Stefan,
I just comes to show the implosion of The Democrat Party. I’ll be one of the people that will believe what Caltagirone said. O’Brian is scum from the same pond as John Perzel. Caltagirone had to settle for the lesser of two evils in this case.
However it can’t compare to what The Republican Party has been doing lately, especially after what happened to those two border patrol agents. They shoot a Mexican drug dealer bringing in weed, and the agents did their job and shot the man for crossing illegally. What does The Bush Administration do? They give a royal first class flight to the drug dealer to come up and testify against the agents. It really pisses me off when we give more rights to thugs like Cletus Rivera, and Mumia Abu Jamal over the people that did their jobs to ensure our country’s safety. These politically correct ass clowns ought to think if this was a terrorist instead of a drug dealer. Why would it not shock me if our government took the side of the terrorist over the border patrol agents? It’s bad enough these agents are fighting against our own government for telling the mexican government about the minutemen locations and the border patrol agents, but this is what they get when they get a big catch.
9/11 fact: 10 of the 9/11 highjackers came in here by jumping the southern border, but yet we never hear about that. Now we have a congress which will ensure our country’s destruction if citizens don’t wake up and fight back.

I believe the Government is allowing those two heroes (border patrol agents) to rot in jail as a stark warning to all the rest of the border patrol agents, to intimidate them into not doing too good a job securing the border.
The Democrats in Congress are just as guilty as the Republicans for allowing this to happen, since they are silent on this awful injustice.

I agree Stefan,
If President Bush does not pardon these people, he will send a big message to our enemies to come invade us, because like Motel 6 we will leave the light on for them.
I used to have a lot of respect for Tony Snow, but after he was endorsing the credibility of a Illegal Alien, let alone a drug pusher that contributes to crime in our country, I lost all respect for him, and anyone that was defending it.
I can’t even imagine on how people in the military feel, or police officers. They will live in fear to do their jobs over the risk of being charged with a crime. This is nearing Communism plain and simple. Since when did we resort to being like China, North Korea, Cuba, etc.? These border patrol agents despite doing their job, acted against the agenda of the government, and therefore need to be handled. That’s what Communist nations do to citizens that oppose the government, but to our credit at least we are not at the point of plucking out eyeballs, or using 2 year old kids to make Nikes, or driving over people with tanks.
