In a story that was not reported on much, a group of Illegal Aliens are suing Wendys, because they got fired after being put under pressure for hiring them in the first place. The Illegal Aliens claim that Wendys promised to enroll them in a citizenship program so they could continue to work.
The first thing that came to mind here when I first read this was what the hell is this crap? Young kids working part time on minimum wage is now too expensive for these people. Forget about kids working their way through school, because now if you thought it was bad when you call Dell tech support and can’t understand a damn word they say to you, imagine what a bitch it will be at the drive through window.
On a serious note however I want to know why Wendys is getting a pass. Rest assured if this was some small business owner who does not contribute to someone’s reelection he or she would be behind bars for this. For the love of Pete these Illegal Aliens are handing food that we pay to consume. Who know what germs they could be brining into this food without any health concerns. Am I the only guy around here that can connect the spinach, and lettuce e-coli issues to Illegal Alien pickers in California? Now I’m not joking here. Think about it.
Bottom Line is Wendy’s needs to be held accountable for hiring Illegal Aliens just like Wal-Mart, and the rest. As far as I’m concerned I will never eat at Wendys again until they clean up their act.
