Reading Eagle Continues to Spin for Mayor McMahon

The City Of Reading has now ranked the 21st most dangerous city in the country. Mayor Tom McMahon’s propaganda newspaper The Reading Eagle attempted to spin it off as “All of us around here make way too much of it” referring to crime. This has to be the most self centered thing I have ever read from The Reading Eagle. The next quote is the part that really got me angry. Not mad, but very angry.

“We all need to focus more on all the wonderful revitalization going on these days in our town and realize that human nature being what it is, there always will be some bad guys in town.”

Oh so forget about the scum, forget about the lack of codes enforcement which is fertilizer for growing the criminal element, forget about the death of Officer Scott Wertz whose killer Cletus Rivera is embraced as a hero by this criminal element. We should be thankful for Al Boscov and his stinking pet pork projects while the rest of the taxpayers get shot, raped, and murdered, or if you are a police officer like Scott Wertz you can be used by Al Boscov, Tom McMahon, The Reading Eagle, The Berks County Commissioners, and the rest of this county elite as a prop to promote your own greedy political agenda by raising taxes. Zeke wants to call himself a catholic, and yet promote this?

This makes my blood boil big time, because what this established elite has proven like they have proved in the past as I wrote in previous articles, they have no value for human life. Reading has now stooped to the level of third world countries. Just like Saddam Hussein’s mass graves in Iraq where he considered human life disposable, this established elite of Berks County has just become his equal.

Housing Market Begins To Crash

After reading this today I would not expect the Dow to stay at 12,000 for too long.  Just like the Tech Bubble, the housing market is going to impact us the same way.  The big difference between the two however is that the housing market has been inflated to meet a false demand.  Have any of you noticed all of these new developments that have real estate signs up for sale?  If there is such a high demand for houses, then why are they on the market for almost a year after they are built? Truly if people are begging for houses they would have been bought and paid for on the spot.  The truth is that when you create a massive supply to meet a low demand, the price will drop just as we are now seeing with the real estate bubble.  Investors are seeing the over flow of supply, and low demand, and economics 101 states that the price will fall.  You can read about this story here.

Tony Phyrillas Hits a Home Run On Dante “Ace Ventura” Santoni

Tony Phyrillas wrote a great piece on his site today about Dante Santoni. You can read it here.

Remember He Doesn’t Do Humans, especially Humans of The Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania.

Why I am voting for Lynn Swann

We are now only weeks away from the election and I saw Jim Reitnour has already stated on who he is going to vote for. I pretty much agree with him on everything except for governor.

While I have the up most respect for Russ Diamond, and his efforts, he’s not on the ballot, and the chances of conducting a write in campaign on the state level are slim to nothing. I do encourage Russ Diamond to regroup to fight another day, because people do indeed need more choices.

Now that places me in what is more realistic. Swann, or Rendell? Yes Swann did support Brightbill, and Jubby The Plum, and some components of his property tax reform bill to have some cons, but they do have some pros to them such as overhauling the real estate assessment section which I believe would put the brakes on this over bloating development binge that has been burdening the tax payers. Everybody on both sides has agreed that development is the main problem with soaring property taxes. Also lowering the corporate net income tax is another great idea. This will encourage more private investment, and the returning the Personal Income Tax to 2.8% will put even more money into the people’s pockets. Let’s face it the only people this will hurt are tax pimps like Al Boscov. We will get the money out of these tax pimps and into the hands of the private sector.

Now for Rendell. If you people reelect him, he will become emboldened, and even more arrogant with the idea that he is above accountability. We all know his agenda will not work. The slots will not fund education and we all know it. We will be facing higher property taxes, higher income taxes, and higher sales taxes, and even a slower economy in the next 4 years under Rendell.

Bottom line is we need a different direction, and yes we can debate forever about limited options this election, however with Swann’s ideas, and a new house and senate, and tons of new blood coming to Harrisburg in January we can only make progress compared to Rendell who only suppress, or veto any type of reform these new people would throw on his desk.

Now if Rendell does get reelected don’t come crying on the following.

Don’t cry when you have to pay 7% sales tax on every purchase that will really hurt such as buying a car, home improvement projects, etc.

Don’t cry when your vehicle registration goes up to over $60.00 from $32.00, and that is just for a car.

Don’t cry when you are paying 25 cents a gallon more at the pump to fuel your vehicle, and have to fuel more often because you are stuck in congested highways, or bumpy roads, because the gas tax will only fund SEPTA.

Don’t cry when you have to pay over $100.00 per year for the local EMS tax from $52.00.

Don’t cry when Comcast is your only option to television and Verizon is being denied the right to compete with FIOS in this state.

Don’t cry when you have to start showing ID to purchase everything under the sun the government thinks you can get high on.

Don’t cry when the income tax rate goes even higher from its current 3.08%.

Don’t cry if you end up loosing your home due to high property taxes.

Don’t cry when you start to get tickets for red light cameras, or speeding cameras as Rendell would deploy them all over the state.

Don’t cry when you have to start paying tolls on other Pennsylvania roads other then The Pennsylvania Turnpike like I-80, I-79 which will divert truck traffic around those highways depriving revenue from truck stops across the state.

Don’t cry when your rights to own and purchase guns are taken away.

Don’t cry when the rights of criminals, and other thugs are more important then yours.

Did I miss any? Remember we need a Governor of Pennsylvania, and not a Governor of Philadelphia.

I don’t know about you folks, but I have had one hell of a week, and being busy as all heck. Post whatever is on your mind. Have a good weekend.

Limbaugh Tows Party Line, Abandons Conservative Principles

Having been a listener of Rush Limbaugh’s show for over 12 years, I have not heard so much cheerleading for The Republican Party and abandoning conservative principles as I have heard on his show in the past couple of days. Limbaugh has been expressing his anger toward Conservatives that have been trying to reform the Republican Party back to the days of Reagan, and Goldwater.

Lowering himself to the level Democrats have stooped to during the 1994 school lunch scare kids to death spin, Limbaugh resoted to an attempt to scare the Conservative base into voting for the same old status quo RINOs that have been ignoring the base for far too long. I’m going to counter the following scare tactics from Limbaugh on what would happen if Democrats regain control of the House and Senate.

Scare 1. If Democrats take control your taxes will go up, up, and away. Well I don’t know about you, but out here in Pennsylvania under a Republican controlled state house, and senate our taxes have been going up, up, and insane for at least the past 4 years now from property taxes, income taxes, that stupid EMS tax, expanded emission inspections across the state making it more expensive to inspect your car, out of control spending, and lets not forget the pay raise. The same Republicans that sell out to Fast Eddie Rendell. The same Republicans that mostly have been voted out in their primaries like Jubby The Plum, and David Brightbill.

Scare 2. If Democrats take control, we will have more Liberal Judges controlling the court. As true as it is, remember that with past Republican Presidents Gerald Ford appointed John Paul Stevens who is the biggest Liberal on The Supreme Court. Ronald Regan appointed Sandra Day O’Connor, and Anthony Kennedy. In Reagan’s defense however Sandra Day O’ Conner was more of a constitutionalist in the beginning, and Anthony Kennedy was only appointed due to the fact that an extreme leftist Senate destroyed the character of Robert Bork. Let’s also not forget George H.W. Bush’s appointment of David Souter.

Scare 3. If Democrats take control, the terrorists win. While most Democrats in the house and senate want constitutional rights for terrorists that would so much cut of our heads for reading the holy bible, or watching a Britney Spears music video, this has to be the most irresponsible act from Limbaugh.

We can reform The Republican Party, and in the end be stronger for it. Just as professional sports teams trade, and release players that are no longer effective, or are a burden to their teams, we can do the same thing. Right now The Republican Party is like the 2005 Philadelphia Eagles, but with many shades of Terrell Owens wanting more money, and power, and destroying your own team in the process to obtain their own personal agendas, and could care less about the best interests of the team. Just like the Eagles had a bad season that year, The Republican Party will have its ups and downs on their journey to put in good players, and when that time comes, The Republican Party will be far more successful then they ever would have been with the status quo RINOs.

The fact that Limbaugh is resorting to Liberal type words to blame the Conservative Base for wanting to reform their party which is no different from the ditz that spilled McDonalds Coffee on herself and sued. Limbaugh’s neglect to blame the incumbents for digging their own graves by their own reckless actions; prove how much Limbaugh sold out in favor of the RINOs. Mr. Limbaugh the children that the conservative base elected are misbehaving and are not showing respect for the people that elected them there in the first place, and now it’s time to give them a spanking.

SEC Needs to look into Sovereign Bank, and Jay Sidhu

After todays article in The Reading Eagle about the break in at Sovereign’s Penn Street location in Reading, this is starting to really smell bad folks. Jay Sidhu jumps ship, and a couple of days later this happens? Worse yet Sovereign Bank did not report the break in for almost a whole day. The Reading Police already stated that it was no doubt an inside job.

After Enron, Tyco, WorldCom, etc., the last thing we need in Berks County is something like this. Now all you McMahon, Boscov kool aid drinkers out there now know why you don’t put all your eggs in one basket. It’s time to find out the following.

What did Jay Sidhu know and when did he know it?

What did Al Boscov know and when did he know it? (Oh yes remember Jay Sidhu sits on the board at the Goggle Works, and quite a bit of Sovereign Bank money was involved)

What did Mayor Tom McMahon know and when did he know it? (Oh yes his rear end sits on the Goggle Works board, as well as BCTV’s, and was also up Jay Sidhu’s rear end. I’m shocked that we did not find traces of KY Jelly near the Sovereign Plaza. With all the police patrol on Penn Street on average in that area, and you can’t tell me that they did not notice this?)

All of this warrants an investigation. I said in a prior post about how the local Sovereign Jobs would slowly go away, and this is the kind of stuff that will do it. If these Sovereign employees are to line up for unemployment now or in the future, they have the right to know who is responsible for it.

CYA Time For Boscov, McMahon, and The Reading Eagle Involving Sidhu

With Jay Sidhu being out of the picture from Sovereign Bank could not have come at a worst time for Mayor Tom McMahon, and Al Boscov as they try to take control of Reading City Council on Monday October 16 when Council will vote to fill the vacant District 5 seat vacated by Donna Reed.

Currently it is a big fight since this appointment will give the power to one of two factions.  Right now these two war rooms are in full operation.  On one side we have the Tom McMahon war room that is working on behalf of Berks County’s #1 tax pimp Al Boscov.  Then we have the Vaughn Spencer war room working on behalf of Pat Mascaro and J.P. Mascaro/MB Investments.

Now if you ask me this Jay Sidhu business has a big factor in this council meeting which is why The Reading Eagle continues to spin it off as if nothing will happen to jobs in the area.  Common Sense will easily prevail in the end by just pointing out some basic facts.

First the reason the board at Sovereign Bank began to go after Sidhu was because of all the massive pork he was getting the Bank involved with, especially in Reading with the Sovereign Plaza on Penn St.  Now I don’t know about you, but if I have an investment in a company, and that person that is running that company is misusing that money on projects that are not turning profit, then I would be a bit pissed off and sell that stock.

Second does anybody remember over a year ago we had The Reading Eagle, Al Boscov, Tom McMahon, The Berks County Commissioners all begging to do whatever it takes to ensure Jay Sidhu’s spot on the board for the reason of keeping local Sovereign Bank jobs in Berks County, and Reading?  After all the corporate welfare spending that occurred with this venture from the state, county, and local levels it all backfired.  This is what happens when government gets in the way of the natural flow of the free market and capitalism.

Now The Reading Eagle seems to be flip flopping here.  Between the battling war rooms for control of city council, and the fact that Mayor McMahon is up for reelection next year is a double whammy for the established elite in Berks County.  Now don’t get me wrong, the Sovereign Bank jobs will not go away overnight, but no doubt we will begin to see them relocated, phased out, or whatever within the next few years as the new leadership at Sovereign begins to look more into Sidhu’s dealings, and I’m willing to bet we will discover more things hidden in his closet down the road.  In the end as people loose their jobs here they will be looking at McMahon, and The Reading Eagle betrayed thinking that their jobs were safe.  No doubt the Eagle’s spin job is just a delay until Tom McMahon’s war room can find somebody to put the blame on.

Now I know Stefan Kosikowski will be at the meeting on Monday, and the only thing I can say to him is that everything I just talked about is a big factor in this, and I hope he brings this up to council.  The can is open and the worms are beginning to slowly come out with Sidhu, Boscov, McMahon, The Reading Eagle, and all of the rest, and council will have a mess on them in the next couple of years.  That is why McMahon in no way should have his lackeys running city council.  As for Sidhu I predict that we have not heard the end of this.

Off The Cuff Friday 10-13-2006

Boy the last Friday the 13th in October back in 1995 John A. Heckman Sr. crashed his SUV into an eldery couples home nearly killing them.  Anybody has any other good stories I’d love to hear them.
