I wanted all you loyal readers to check out Jim Reitnour’s Right Thinking Blog where today he writes a great article about The Reading Eagle’s Dana “The Gosselin Hater” Hoffman’s attempt to start a propaganda blog to compete with The Berks Blog Network. You can check it out at the links section of this site, or you can click here.

It seems Mayor Inner Child McMahon continues to make stupid comments. Just as in the case with his race baiting Hazleton comments, Mayor Inner Child wrote a letter to the editor of his propaganda media outlet The Reading Eagle. Just like the last time comments are being restricted so the Mayor does not look bad so I will post the letter right here, and you’re all welcome to comment.
Editor:
During the dedication of a mural at the GoggleWorks on Aug 17, I made an obtuse comment about Wyomissing and a particular alcoholic beverage (“Mosaic at GoggleWorks reflection of joy,” Reading Eagle, Aug. 18). I had no intention to disparage either.
In my exuberance at seeing the cityscape mural that creative young artists from the Reading School District completed in just over six weeks, I was reminded of the reason that we built the GoggleWorks in the first place: for the younger citizens of our greater Reading community.
That mural is now installed permanently on the outside of the glass-blowing building. It is magnificent and I am so proud of those young artists.
Earlier someone had suggested that we only built the GoggleWorks for suburban folk and cocktail parties. Nothing could be further from the truth.
We built it for all of us, but especially for our young people to develop their creative energies by working with successful art mentors from all over the area, including Wyomissing.
I want to thank all of the artists and art supporters for spending time with our kids and showing them how to succeed.
And to my friends in Wyomissing: Please accept my apologies for a silly offhand remark. I love you all dearly.
Tom McMahon
Mayor of Reading
Now I think we can all agree that Mayor McMahon is just not fit for the job. From the race baiting comments about Hazleton, to the stereotype comments about Wyomissing, to pissing on the city charter, how many more excuses can the Mayor Inner Child McMahon Kool-Aid drinkers come up with?
Mayor Inner Child McMahon wants to build things for our young people? Then build a safe community for them Mayor Inner Child. That is the foundation for all success. Use those government grants to hire more code enforcement officers and enforce the city’s codes, and destroy these slumlords. Use those government grants to fund your law enforcement. Every youth deserves to be raised in a peaceful, and an economically vibrant community. If there is one thing you proved in your letter Mayor Inner Child McMahon is that you could give a shit about the community you serve. In so few words did you expose your true agenda with The Goggle Works. You’re pissed off, because so many people know with common sense have pegged this pork project pimped by you, and especially Al Boscov for what it is. A way to fuel your egos, and continue to leach off of the resources of every taxpayer in this state. You could give a shit about Scott Wertz. The only way he would still be alive is if he were a mural in the Goggle Works, because if you truly cared about the people laying their lives on the line for your slimy ass then you would give them the funding. You would give your own community the power to chase out these slumlords which is the root of the problem. Oh that’s right why chase out the slumlords when you, and Al Boscov are not any better.
So keep inserting your foot into your mouth, because The Reading Eagle will no longer be able to protect you. There are blogs, and other outlets that can call you out for the slumlord that you are.
