Mayor Flip Flop McMahon

It seems that Mayor Inner Child Tom McMahon has another nickname since the aftermath of the Mayor playing the race card in a way that could have started race riots among Reading’s Hispanic population. Just last week Mayor Inner Child, and Uncle Tom Spencer were proud to admit that they enjoy hearing Spanish being spoken in the city. Now in today Reading Eagle which is also known as Mayor Inner Childs propaganda daily Mayor Inner Child himself wrote this letter to the editor.

Editor:

The article by Lois Beckett (“Latinos run into language barrier at City Hall,” Reading Eagle, July 18) needs some clarification.

First of all, my criticism of the Hazleton law was not related to the provision making English the official language of that city. I happen to agree that English should be the official language of this entire country, and, in a de facto sense, it already is and should stay that way.

My argument with Hazleton is that holding business people respon-sible for enforcing federal laws related to employment or housing, which are not being enforced by the U.S. government, is not logical.

Secondly, I told Beckett that only selected emergency or informational documents would be translated to Spanish on an as-needed basis — such as flood evacuation notices — but that I would not support wholesale translation of city documents and forms into Spanish.

Lastly, I want to thank those bilingual employees of City Hall who help translate where needed, but I would welcome with open arms, any bilingual person of any language group who would like to volunteer on a daily basis.

Let me be perfectly clear: I do not believe it is the city’s responsibility to pay for translation services or for us to translate every document and form into Spanish, German, French, Romanian or any other language.
I do believe that people who already are here should help new arrivals get adjusted just like many of their own ancestors were helped.

Tom McMahon
Mayor of Reading

Now I don’t know about you, but this is the biggest flip flop if I ever saw one. For somebody to go out there last week and proudly endorse Speaking Spanish in Reading, but then come out and say that it’s not the city’s responsibility to cater to the Spanish speaking community.

Second if he is for the English Language how come he was out there telling Hispanics to be thankful Reading is not Hazleton?

This has got to be the biggest piss poor attempt to cover his ass. Mayor McMahon acting like this proved he is a racist bigot. Nowhere in The Hazleton Law does it target Hispanics, Blacks, or any other race. Mayor Inner Child McMahon attempted to race bait Hispanics in the name of getting votes for his reelection next year plain and simple. Mayor Inner Child McMahon wants Hispanic people to think that if they don’t vote for him they will become slaves, their women raped, and their children murdered.

Now we have had several discussions about “Labels” involving Liberal vs. Conservative. A poster said on this site once how “Labels” only divide and oppress people. This is exactly what Mayor Inner Child McMahon is doing, but in this case is far more serious. It is one thing to divide people on political ideals weather they be Liberal, Conservative, Socialist, Communist, etc. but the division that Mayor Inner Child McMahon is doing by playing the race card is oppressive, bigoted, and plain out reckless. Hence this is the reason Mayor Inner Child McMahon became Mayor Flip Flop McMahon for this very reason. McMahon knew where this was going, and on top of it having Al Walentis fueling the fire with his race baiting antics on his blog for the past week would have sooner then later caused massive riots throughout Reading. Just like the Nation of Islam, The Black Panthers, Jackson, Sharpton, and other race baiters, McMahon is only interested in oppressing a voting block to vote for him to obtain his own personal goals just like the other race baiters I just mentioned.

Special Off The Cuff Friday

I’m pleased to announce that this blog will soon be moving to a new home. Effective August 1st this site will be moving to its location on The Berks Blog Network. I have to say that this site has come a long way in providing a outlet for ideas, and cutting through the constant cancer called political correctness. One of the reasons I founded this site was to provide another side of the story our local newspaper The Reading Eagle fails to do as seen with the Mayor Inner Child McMahon stories as of late. It is amazing how the site has grown and become so popular since then.

I want to take this time to thank all the readers that have visited and commented here. Even though some of us may differ on political ideals I believe that this site has evolved into something special, and I look forward to advancing this to a bigger group of readers. Berks Blog Network will be a big part of the grassroots revolution in Berks County. I invite you to check out the site in the meantime here.

http://www.berksblognet.com

You will see Jim Reitnour has already put his blog in place.

I also invite anybody interested to inquire about setting up a blog with us. Jim Reitnour is looking to contact Michael Case, and Stefan Kosikowski about writing on the site, and I also invite some of my regular readers such as Styrker, Grand Mofo, Anon, SteveO, etc. In the upcoming months we will start to offer spots on Berks Blog Network for advertising, and in the longer goal will be to start putting up billboards up on Route 12, 222, and other local highways to advertise, and counter the Reading Eagle. Another Idea would be one a week all of the bloggers on Berks Blog Network get together and have a casuall discussion about local, state, and national events, and put a recording of the roundtable discussion on the site for everybody to hear. Right now the ideas are endless.

I will continue to make posts here until the 1st of August.

I hope everybody is excited about this new venture as I am.

Have a nice weekend.
