The Reading Eagle thinks you are STUPID

I read the opinion of the Reading Eagle the other day about pushing the County Commissioners to enact an increase in the county property tax to fund The City of Reading, and not allow voters to decide, because we are too stupid to understand how wonderful Mayor Inner Child Tom McMahon is. We don’t know how to handle our own money so we should give it to Mayor Inner Child McMahon because he continues to fail in enforcing the laws in the book. He fails to crack down on the crime, and in the process stifling private investment into the city.

If there is one question that should asked is why should we give more corporate welfare to Tom McMahon just so he can continue to pay his tax pimp Al Boscov?

What this comes down to is the rest of Berks County is growing both in development, and economically while the City continues to decline due to the out of control crime element. If Mayor Inner Child McMahon had a brain he would ask himself why those areas are successful? Instead he would rather punish the rest of the county with this tax for being more successful then the city.

This is like the President of Mexico demanding we open our borders to Illegal Aliens, because they need jobs. Well just as it’s the Mexican President’s job to grow his country’s economy it is Mayor Inner Child McMahon’s job to grow the economy in Reading.

This tax increase would do nothing to solve the problems of the city just like Goggle Works, Lincoln Plaza Hotel, and other pork has done nothing.

When this tax increase comes on the ballot think about it this way. Reading is the Mexico of Berks County, and Mayor Inner Child McMahon feels it is the rest of the counties job to fund a failed, corrupt Mayor instead of making his City attractive for investment. Well Mayor Inner Child McMahon needs to learn something just like Illegal Aliens, and the President of Mexico. STOP BREAKING THE LAW !!!!!!
