Off The Cuff Friday 7-28-2006

Well the last off the cuff friday for this web site before moving to The Berks Blogg Network. I’m sure the first thing will be about Mayor Inner Child McMahon thowing a fit because he might have to enforce a law. My view. Serves the prick right. I will have a more detailed article about this tonight, but if you want to talk about it a while now is your chace.

Have a Nice Weekend.

Where’s the Train?

I wanted to take this chance to discuss with all you readers out there about the current status of commuter rail service to Philadelphia from Reading.  I am going to attach a link for everybody to check out where they will see who is to blame for blocking this economic fertilizer from growing our local economies respectfully.

http://www.dvarp.org/svm/

This is by far the best site I have seen about this subject.  It’s straight talk with no spin.  I wrote my opinion awhile back about what I thought was obstructing this project, and I pointed to SEPTA in particular.  Well it turns out that I’m partially correct.  As you read this information you will also see that people from BARTA are just as guilty.

Let’s discuss.

Why Johnstown & Not Reading Mr. Boscov?

This was the big question when I was out in Johnstown this past weekend. Ben Helbert and I decided to take a trip over to the western part of our great Commonwealth after we heard tons of talk on how the rural, depressed communities have been making a comeback not through collecting millions and millions of pork per year to build art galleries, movie theaters, overpriced condos, and Mayors that refuse to enforce the law, but with actual members of the private sector investing into these communities for their low cost of living, low taxes, and tons of potential for growth. This is exactly what we discovered in Johnstown, PA. They have been able to accomplish this through doing what I have been saying Reading, PA should be doing for years, and that’s cracking down on the criminal element. During our drive through the town we discovered tons of shops downtown to appeal to everybody. Some of the store fronts that have been unused for years back to life with people like you and me investing into starting their own businesses. A brand new shopping mall last year was just constructed there recently, and guess what store was there? That’s right Boscov’s. Boscov’s is one of many attractions to the town that bring in business. The first thing that came to mind is why our local tax pimp seems to have a double standard when it comes to Reading. Either Al Boscov chooses to ignore this reality, or he prefers to use Reading as a vacuum to suck taxpayer money into his pocket. The questions that should be asked to Pimp Boscov are why didn’t you open a Boscov’s on Penn St.? If it’s good enough for towns like Johnstown then why not Reading? Why not put your money where your mouth is?

The sad thing is we all know the answers to these questions. One fact remains however, and that’s the fact that in Reading’s case it CAN BE DONE. You have to make the city desirable for private investment to create jobs, and business. However Reading will never see this as long as we have Mayor Inner Child Tom McMahon siding with the criminal over the taxpaying citizen. We will never have this as long as we have Mayor Inner child using race baiting tactics, or telling Illegal Aliens in Hazleton to come on down to Reading so they can continue to illegally dump more trash in the streets. Which comes to another question as to why Mayor Inner Child McMahon is so hell bent on doing away with private trash haulers? Answer is that Illegal Aliens will not risk purchasing a private trash hauler, because it would put them on the grid. That is one of the main reasons why you have trash all over the city. Under Mayor Inner Childs plan it would protect these Illegal Aliens from being exposed, and in the process having hardworking citizens in Reading flipping more bills for them. Something for you all to think about.

If Reading is to prosper then Mayor Inner Child McMahon, and people like him need to go. Reading just like our Commonwealth needs to perform a house cleaning.

Mayor Flip Flop McMahon

It seems that Mayor Inner Child Tom McMahon has another nickname since the aftermath of the Mayor playing the race card in a way that could have started race riots among Reading’s Hispanic population. Just last week Mayor Inner Child, and Uncle Tom Spencer were proud to admit that they enjoy hearing Spanish being spoken in the city. Now in today Reading Eagle which is also known as Mayor Inner Childs propaganda daily Mayor Inner Child himself wrote this letter to the editor.

Editor:

The article by Lois Beckett (“Latinos run into language barrier at City Hall,” Reading Eagle, July 18) needs some clarification.

First of all, my criticism of the Hazleton law was not related to the provision making English the official language of that city. I happen to agree that English should be the official language of this entire country, and, in a de facto sense, it already is and should stay that way.

My argument with Hazleton is that holding business people respon-sible for enforcing federal laws related to employment or housing, which are not being enforced by the U.S. government, is not logical.

Secondly, I told Beckett that only selected emergency or informational documents would be translated to Spanish on an as-needed basis — such as flood evacuation notices — but that I would not support wholesale translation of city documents and forms into Spanish.

Lastly, I want to thank those bilingual employees of City Hall who help translate where needed, but I would welcome with open arms, any bilingual person of any language group who would like to volunteer on a daily basis.

Let me be perfectly clear: I do not believe it is the city’s responsibility to pay for translation services or for us to translate every document and form into Spanish, German, French, Romanian or any other language.
I do believe that people who already are here should help new arrivals get adjusted just like many of their own ancestors were helped.

Tom McMahon
Mayor of Reading

Now I don’t know about you, but this is the biggest flip flop if I ever saw one. For somebody to go out there last week and proudly endorse Speaking Spanish in Reading, but then come out and say that it’s not the city’s responsibility to cater to the Spanish speaking community.

Second if he is for the English Language how come he was out there telling Hispanics to be thankful Reading is not Hazleton?

This has got to be the biggest piss poor attempt to cover his ass. Mayor McMahon acting like this proved he is a racist bigot. Nowhere in The Hazleton Law does it target Hispanics, Blacks, or any other race. Mayor Inner Child McMahon attempted to race bait Hispanics in the name of getting votes for his reelection next year plain and simple. Mayor Inner Child McMahon wants Hispanic people to think that if they don’t vote for him they will become slaves, their women raped, and their children murdered.

Now we have had several discussions about “Labels” involving Liberal vs. Conservative. A poster said on this site once how “Labels” only divide and oppress people. This is exactly what Mayor Inner Child McMahon is doing, but in this case is far more serious. It is one thing to divide people on political ideals weather they be Liberal, Conservative, Socialist, Communist, etc. but the division that Mayor Inner Child McMahon is doing by playing the race card is oppressive, bigoted, and plain out reckless. Hence this is the reason Mayor Inner Child McMahon became Mayor Flip Flop McMahon for this very reason. McMahon knew where this was going, and on top of it having Al Walentis fueling the fire with his race baiting antics on his blog for the past week would have sooner then later caused massive riots throughout Reading. Just like the Nation of Islam, The Black Panthers, Jackson, Sharpton, and other race baiters, McMahon is only interested in oppressing a voting block to vote for him to obtain his own personal goals just like the other race baiters I just mentioned.

Special Off The Cuff Friday

I’m pleased to announce that this blog will soon be moving to a new home. Effective August 1st this site will be moving to its location on The Berks Blog Network. I have to say that this site has come a long way in providing a outlet for ideas, and cutting through the constant cancer called political correctness. One of the reasons I founded this site was to provide another side of the story our local newspaper The Reading Eagle fails to do as seen with the Mayor Inner Child McMahon stories as of late. It is amazing how the site has grown and become so popular since then.

I want to take this time to thank all the readers that have visited and commented here. Even though some of us may differ on political ideals I believe that this site has evolved into something special, and I look forward to advancing this to a bigger group of readers. Berks Blog Network will be a big part of the grassroots revolution in Berks County. I invite you to check out the site in the meantime here.

http://www.berksblognet.com

You will see Jim Reitnour has already put his blog in place.

I also invite anybody interested to inquire about setting up a blog with us. Jim Reitnour is looking to contact Michael Case, and Stefan Kosikowski about writing on the site, and I also invite some of my regular readers such as Styrker, Grand Mofo, Anon, SteveO, etc. In the upcoming months we will start to offer spots on Berks Blog Network for advertising, and in the longer goal will be to start putting up billboards up on Route 12, 222, and other local highways to advertise, and counter the Reading Eagle. Another Idea would be one a week all of the bloggers on Berks Blog Network get together and have a casuall discussion about local, state, and national events, and put a recording of the roundtable discussion on the site for everybody to hear. Right now the ideas are endless.

I will continue to make posts here until the 1st of August.

I hope everybody is excited about this new venture as I am.

Have a nice weekend.

Illegal Aliens will DESTROY BERKS COUNTY!!!!!

Mayor Inner Child Tom McMahon proudly supported Illegal Aliens breaking the laws of our country at the Latin Festival yesterday. Since Mayor Inner Child McMahon does not want to enforce his own laws in Reading, this should come as no surprise. He also stated on WEEU that he will welcome all Illegal Aliens in Reading, PA. More on that in a second.

First off I want to commend Mayor Lou Barletta of Hazleton, PA for being in my view the best Mayor in America. He was brave to stand up for the laws our Federal Government fails to enforce in the name of slave labor. America needs more people like Mayor Barletta.

Second I am now going to expose Reading City Council President Vaughan Spencer for the hypocritical hack that he is. I’m going to take a huge step here in calling Vaughan Spencer something that is the truth. VAUGHAN SPENCER IS AN UNCLE TOM!!!! That’s right folks Vaughan Spencer is an UNCLE TOM. All we hear from this jackass is how he embraces Illegal Aliens, but we don’t see Uncle Tom Spencer standing up for the living conditions of Mexican citizens, or standing up against the Mexican Government for oppressing its people. No we see Uncle Tom Spencer supporting the slave labor of desperate people regardless of race which is how Uncle Tom Spencer and Mayor Inner Child McMahon are trying to spin this off as.

Now to be really serious this encouragement by Mayor Inner Child McMahon and Uncle Tom Spencer is going to have severe backlashes toward the citizens of Reading, and the citizens of Berks County. Here are some examples.

  1. This will increase labiality insurances across the board from automotive, home, etc. It is proven that when known criminals are in the area then crime does increase along with insurance costs to home owners, businesses, etc. Keep in mind Illegal Aliens are CRIMINALS. They broke the law coming here, and since they broke the law.
  2. The quality of life in Berks County will continue to decline. As of last year the average median salary for a resident living in the city of Reading is around $19,000 per year. Further Illegal Alien activity will drive that number down even lower, and in the process increasing the poverty rate, and lowering wages throughout the area. In the process the tax base will shrink and strap all the local governments for cash to increase taxes.
  3. Local Governments will have to increase taxes to support more Illegal Aliens on the public dime, and to handle more staff at the county services office to keep up with the demand.
  4. Health Care costs in the area will specifically skyrocket out of control due to the fact that Illegal Aliens go to emergency rooms all over the country just for a band aid, a paper cut, and for their medical checkups. All at the expense of you and me.
  5. In the process property values will decrease as well which means less equity to cash out on your home, or to sell it, or refinance it.

Once again I remind you Mayor Inner Child McMahon Kool Aid Drinkers out there that this is not about race. Let’s just say that if China was bordering us instead of Mexico it would be ever far worse. Rule of thumb to remember here folks and that’s if Mexico was not such an oppressive country we would not have this problem.

Where’s Michael?

As of today I noticed that Michael Case’s blog has been removed from the Reading Eagle web site.  Boy I wonder why?  I am going to just say that The Reading Eagle lost a great talent.  Michael Case’s work was always top notch.  The man never pulled punches and was never afraid to tell it like it is.  It just comes to show you what happens when you cross Mayor Inner Child Tom McMahon and work for the Reading Eagle at the same time.

I have a proposition for Michael Case.

As announced I have been working on a project with Jim Reitnour in working on a web site with various talent, and I would like to offer Michael a chance to join this venture in writing his blog at a new home with no restrictions on his work.  We want people like Michael Case to continue to report and expose the corruption of the city.  If he is interested he is more then welcome to drop a line with me on this topic with his e-mail address.

With even more people joining we overcome the propaganda machine which is the Reading Eagle.

Off The Cuff Friday 7-14-2006

It’s no holds Bared.  Have a nice weekend.

Good News for Berks County

On Jim Reitnour’s Blog today he announced the following.

As soon as I can make the changes needed, I am planning a site that will serve as an “Anti Reading Eagle”. I haven’t finalized the name yet, but I am planning to use it as an commentary site for those of us the the Reading/Berks area who see the local paper for what it is - a propoganda machine for local liberal politicos who in the paper’s eyes can do no wrong.

This blog will be one of the featured sites. I also have room for 9 other contributors, each with his/her own blog.

Political party is meaningless here. As PACleanSweep stated, it’s the outraged citizens against the incumbents who routinely throw aside the rule of law & principle for their own selfish gains, and by the way, have us the taxpayer foot the bill.

Now we have all talked about this several times on this site, and Grand Mofo Wizard has brought it up on occasion as well. This is no doubt a great idea. We need to face reality on one front. We can all agree on one thing, and that is the problems that inflict Reading, Pennsylvania from drugs, crime prostitution, rapes, and the lack of change are in part caused by The Reading Eagle, and their lack of reporting reality to protect political hacks like Mayor Inner Child Tom McMahon. The fact of the matter is a informed public makes a good community.

I spoke to Jim Reitnour last night about the creation of another media outlet in Berks County, and we both agreed that it would be the only way to inform the public since the only thing The Reading Eagle cares about is protecting Mayor Inner Child Tom McMahon.

You can read more about this on Jim’s new site.

Alan Piper starts to flip flop

In the Reading Eagle today (a.k.a. Mayor McMahon’s Daily Propaganda) County Commissioner Thomas Gajewski Sr. proposed to the members of the Reading Area Transportation Study (RATS how fitting for these jackasses) a short term fix to relieve the congestion on the northern part of Route 222.

The RATS refused to take any action.

I want to commend Mr. Gajewski for taking a stand on this.  For those of you outside the area Route 222 in this section is a complete nightmare to put it nicely.  This highway even congests during off peak travel time.  In my view this road should have been upgraded over 20 years ago.  Picture only having to drive 5 miles to work, but it takes you 45 minutes to get there.

Now all of a sudden we begin to see Alan Piper kissing ass praising the plan, and how it can be started as early as 2007.  This is a much different tune from what Alan Piper stated a couple of months ago where he told us to fuck off, go to hell, tough shit, and get used to the congestion.  One of the problems with Berks County’s infrastructure is from lack of proper planning.  Alan Piper is more concerned about playing politics then doing his job, and his latest brown nosing with Commissioner Gajewski proves that point.

The County Commissioners need to call Alan Piper on the carpet and demand that he explain himself.  It has been proven that Alan Piper can’t do the job and should be fired.  When the county is facing heavy deficits down the road the last thing they need is a political clown like Alan Piper on the planning commission playing politics with their budget.  Now I know the Commissioners can play politics to as seen in the firing of Kurt Bellman as director of the elections office because he ran the office too efficient, so I would not hold my breath if Alan Piper continues to lick the feces off the rear ends of the County Commissioners for years to come.
