Our elected officials in this state did not plan on this issue staying alive right now. You would think these guys would be class acts and face the people they represent? Heck no instead they plan on suing the pants off of anybody that opposes them. The group Young Consrvatives of Pennsylvania are under attack by the people pictured above. You can go to their site at www.informedpa.com

These Republicans are confused as to the fact of why a Conservative group would oppose them when they claim Republicans support the same ideals? The answer is simple if you people would stand for what you were voted in to do you would not have to ask that question. The matters are getting worse out where I live. In the Lebanon, PA office of Senator Brightbill he has his people calling the police on people that stop in complaining about he pay raise on the grounds of disturbing the peace. Then you got Representative Shelia Miller’s Office doing the same thing after people drive by her office on State Route 419 beeping their horns, and flipping the middle finger. If these people think that doing things like this will put the pay raise issue on the back burner, and make people forget then they must be on drugs or something. These actions will only make the people more angry, and eager to vote them out. I know where I live people can’t wait to vote these clowns out.
I mentioned on the Reading Eagle Blog that issues like this are the reason we need term limits on these people. We need to ensure that no elected office ever becomes a career. Just as the Democrats got destroyed by the House Bank Scandal years ago the Republican Party seems to not have learned from that lesson about betraying the people they represent.
I’m sure the best is still yet to come.

This is the expression of anybody that travels Pennsylvania Highways. In Pennsylvania we pay over 30 cents a gallon in gasoline taxes, but we never see any results on our highways. I was on Interstate 80 a couple of moths ago coming in from Ohio, and from the State line to the Interstate 81 Exit it was all brand new, smooth concrete. After driving over 250 miles of the road I almost forgot I was in Pennsylvania. The thing that gets my goat is that the Pennsylvania Turnpike charges tolls to fund that highway, but anybody that drove on it knows the highway to put it nicely is a piece of crap.
Then there is Interstate 176 that goes between Reading, and Morgantown. The concrete road is seriously crumbling to pieces, and is in need of massive safety improvements such as guard rails, because if you are on the south bound lanes, and go off the left and side of the road you will go for a 10 to 15 foot drop straight down with no guard rail to stop you from going over the edge.
I think we need to get in touch with David Brightbill, and Mike O’Pake to see if they want to donate their pay hikes to improvements on Interstate 176, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and ask them where that highway tax money is going to. Let’s just say I would not hold my breath.

I read this article today, and could honestly puke. Our elected officials in this commonwealth are so desperate to cover their asses over their recent pay raise the most typical thing they do is bring up property tax reform thinking we will all forgive, and forget.
This is such an insult, and a slap in the face. These people know they are in it knee deep, and this is the only reason this has come up. A couple of months before the pay raise was passed David Brightbill was quoted as saying that they will get to property tax reform sometime. The most insulting comment Dennis Leh could have made was “to take their anger at the raise and redirect it to help pass the caucus plan”. So we should just forget that this chicken shit bastard put himself first with a pay raise before talking tax reform? This is just like the little kid that has misbehaved, and got punished, and is sucking up to his parents to get out of his punishment.
Dennis Leh I got news for you. The good people of this commonwealth have had enough of all of you misbehaving, and now we are going to take one big paddle, and give you guys a long overdue spanking at the ballot box. We are going to elect people that are passionate about real reform. This commonwealth caucus is starting to become a joke. First the sales tax would be 4.5%, and now it will be 5%. You guys can’t even make up your minds, and you are also just plain stupid. People will be paying more taxes under this plan, but the only difference is that you will get screwed at the grocery store instead. This will also kill what’s left of the Reading Outlets, especially the VF Outlet.
I will post a spreadsheet I’m currently working on that shows how you will get screwed under the Commonwealth Caucus plan. I also would love to hear from other view points on this, and how they would reform our property tax system, or to think outside the box the whole way we collect taxes in this state. I personally favor a flat income tax, and getting rid of all other taxes such as gasoline, sales, cigarette, etc. If our state is to collect revenue then it should come in only one form, and not in all of these hidden taxes, and that way the people know what they are paying, and how much is getting spent period.
Let me know what your ideas are.
